Akomplice Summer Lookbook – Lemonade
Akomplice continues their journalistic approach with respect to photography in the form of their Summer Lookbook, which looks behind the scenes of a music video shoot for Blu's Lemonade. The name possesses a dual meaning; it evokes the sentiment of Summer, while it is also the title of the track from the West Coast rapper/producer. Blu has been an Akomplice enthusiast since early in his career, so it's only natural that he and his New World Color record label were tapped to display the Summer collection. Founders and brothers in both blood and business, Mike and Patrick Liberty, caught up with Blu on the music video shoot of the aforementioned Pete Rock produced track. While the scene was equal parts tranquil and boisterous, it became the perfect setting in which to display the Akomplice Summer offerings.
The collection is Akomplice's most extensive to date. It also reinforces the brand's affection for the Flamingo, which they've claimed as their mascot. The Summer fowl is emblazoned across t-shirts, tanks, socks, pants, shorts and hats. They've even coined the term "All Flamingo Everything" and inscribed it across shirts and tanks. While the collection is helmed by the Flamingo, it extends to confetti print 5-panels, gradient tees and tanks, non-collar varsity button ups, water-bottles, wallets, and of course social and clever tees and tanks. While the Summer Collection is Akomplice's most wide comprehensive to date, holding to the laid-back narrative of Summer. Stay tuned for Akomplice's unveiling of the full collection dropping soon, as well as Lemonade by Blu due out this Fall.
