Both can be used as weapons.

School shootings, gun attacks on kindergartens and theater massacres have unfortunately occurred quite frequently in the past twenty years. Thanks to a new Texas bill, the chances for more killings will likely go up.

But some students are making a stand against this dangerous new law. How? They’re attaching huge plastic shlongs to their backpacks.

Just use #CocksNotGlocks. We totally agree.

UT Austin students are performing a protest to Texas governor Greg Abbott’s Senate Bill 11, which allows properly licensed firearm owners to carry concealed handguns into most buildings on campus. These concerned campus walkers believe that carrying guns will do more harm than good and what better way to show their disapproval than toting around massive dildos?

"'You're carrying a gun to class? Yeah well I'm carrying a HUGE DILDO,'" Jin says in the group's description. "Just about as effective at protecting us from sociopathic shooters, but much safer for recreational play."

Jagdish Khubchandani, a community health education professor in the university's Department of Physiology and Health Science, points out that “gun violence is largely attributed to the extensive presence of firearms across the country. Firearms possession has repeatedly been linked to increased risks of violent deaths.”

These students understand that carrying a gun to school for protection is just as dangerous as a person carrying a gun intending to kill people.

So college really is teaching these kids something…

Many students have been tweeting about the movement, showing their support against the new gun law. They believe carrying guns will basically do nothing to protect them against school shooters.

Over 4,000 agreed to showcase their pleasure shakers by signing up to participate in the #CocksNotGlocks movement. The “strap in” will occur August 24, 2016, the first day of next year’s fall semester.
