Rudolf

Hometown: Riverside, Cali.
Dream job: Pilot.
Biggest pet peeve: When someone talks poorly about a specific set of people.
Describe what you look for in a partner: Someone that is physically active, smart, and someone who is open minded and easy to talk to.
One thing you can’t live without?  Water and friends. I could live without friends, but I couldn’t live without water. No one can live without water.
What is your sign? Libra.
Do you think you’re a jealous person? Depends on how she views relationships. I came out of one with a girl who didn’t understand commitment, and that built an insecurity, but otherwise I would say I’m typically not.
Favorite TV series to binge on? The Office, easy.
What is the most annoying habit other couples do? Too much PDA.

What is the most annoying habit other couples do?  Baayyybie! You could say the constant whiny pet nicknames.

When the daters arrive, they’re greeted by a few shots from the amazing bartenders at Ado’s in Boulder, Colorado. After they get a chance to chat over an appetizer and introductions, we pull them aside individually to see how things are going.

Before having a chance to meet them, what’s going through your head?
R: I wonder what she looks like, I hate to be so shallow but it’s true. I also wonder what they have to eat here.
L: I hope my hair fucking dries.

Then you see the dater, what are you thinking?
R: She’s cute. I like the curly hair, and I liked her smile when she saw me.
L: Shit, he’s tall.

What’s the first thing you noticed about them?
R: Curly hair, instantly.
L: He brings a good presence.

How were the first impressions?
R: It’s been awesome, or I think so anyway. She might say something different but …
L: It could be bad, but it isn’t bad at all.

Are they someone you’d normally date?
R: Off the bat, yes she’s cute, and I could see myself going on a date with someone who is cute.
L: Possibly, yes. But possibly not, guess we will see.

What are you looking for from the other dater?
R: A good time, someone easy to talk to and laid back. I guess that’s repeating what I said earlier, but yeah.
L: Good conversation. No good to be left dry in your conversation.

Give us three words that describe your current dating life:
R: Frequent, Fulfilling, Fun.
L: Not looking, perhaps?

Where do you usually meet people?
R: Tinder or real life. It’s hard to say, Tinder has never worked out for me. Most of my dates are from Tinder, but most of my relationships are from real life.
L: I would say school, but now I’m done with school … I guess bars and mutual friends.

What advice did your friends give you?
R: Not much really, just to be myself.
L: Girl, just have fun!

The couple eat their amazing food, prepared by chef Ado himself, but are so busy talking that by the time we pull them aside for round two, they still have quite a bit left of their hefty-ass portions.

How was dinner?
R: So far so good. It’s not over yet. We’re talking more than we are eating, so that’s a good sign.
L: Actually, dinner is so fucking good. Very good!

How’s the date going?
R: It’s going well. She’s funny and easy to talk to.
L: Super good! Great conversation, I feel a little awkward, but that seems normal for a blind date.

Now that you’ve had time to talk, are you attracted to them?
R: Yeah, I am, I can say that confidently.
L: Yeah! He’s intelligent and the conversation is there.

If you could give them a trophy what would it be for?
R: For the most traveled, because she’s traveled everywhere.
L: Making this as friendly as possible trophy.

What do you and the dater have in common?
R: We like to travel, we like to swear, we like to have a good time. Seems like she’s down to have fun, and that makes it easy.
L: We are both driven with passion.

Are you holding back?
R: No. Obviously I have stories, but no one brings those up on a first date.
L: No I am not!

What would your friends and family say about them?
R: They would love her. They would think she’s funny and easy to talk to, and that’s important.
L: They’d probably be into him.

How’s the chemistry?
R: Chemistry I think is there. There’s not a lot of awkwardness, so I think there’s chemistry.
L: Like neutral, I don’t know. Chemistry is H20. Its fucking water. Chemistry is cool.

Are you looking forward to more time with them?
R: I am! You could say I’m looking forward to going back to the table.
L: Yeah, let’s see what’s for dessert!

How did Rooster do picking your date and date spot?
R: It was great. I thought it was Abo’s for the longest time, and the fact that it’s Ado’s is amazing. Loved it.
L: Food is fucking good and a classy place!

We leave the daters to hopefully share a dessert and converse a bit longer with the hope that without our presence, something more happens. Of course, we follow up the next day to see if these two did in fact hit it off or if we just made another fun hangout for some potential friends.

What happened after dinner?
R: I drove her home while listening to Rihanna and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
L: After dinner, I went to my girlfriends house.

What was your favorite part of the date?
R: The free tab.
L: The really great food being free and free drinks were a huge bonus.

After all was said and done, how was the night?
R: I thought it was a funny experience and am happy I went.
L: The night was cool, I liked hanging with the Rooster crew.

Would you have changed anything about the date?
R: Going to see the sold out Atmosphere show at Boulder Theater after would’ve been fun.
L: I don’t know what I would have changed.

Final question, would you go on a second date with them?
R: Yes
L: Perhaps, perhaps not. Nothing against him, I’m just really not looking for a boyfriend of anything serious right now.
