Ah, the first day of school.
It's always awkward.
But … not as awkward as when this Michigan high school teacher decided to horrifically serenade her math class with covers of Drake and Rihanna, changing the lyrics to present the year’s syllabus on the first day of class.
“I know when that hotline bling,” she sings. "The office gonna get that thing.”
Also, "Work, work, work, work, work. I'm gonna make you do your home work, work, work, work, work."
EXCRUCIATING. Won't somebody please think of those poor children!
The most brutal part is when the teacher, identified as Ms. Wippel, called her parody of Fifth Harmony’s “Work from Home” as her “jam” and asked the class to sing along, only to have her students sit there paralyzed like they were watching their parents have sex.
Speaking of sex, "Work from Home" is a song about skipping work to bone, so … just let that simmer in your mind.
Here's the cringe-tastic video of Ms. Wippel earnestly trying to creatively engage her students with song … our apologies in advance for the secondhand embarrassment.
“She is the Michael Scott of teachers,” observed one astute Redditor.
A+ for him.
