What happens if you get a convention of people together, who are so easily-triggered by others’ language and displays of privilege, that they can’t perform simple tasks without getting caught up on procedural disputes?

A lot of “chatter,” a lot of “points of information,” a lot of pronoun specification and vote after vote after vote — without any real or tangible progress towards any goal.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to try and imagine it — there is video of exactly such an event. In 2019, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) got together for their annual convention in Georgia. And it was a gloriously hypersensitive shit-show of truly epic proportions.

Buckle up — this is an offended overload.
