Utah Highway Patrol officer, Lisa Steed, who was named 2007 Trooper of the Year for making more than 200 DUI arrests, is finally being exposed for falsely arresting dozen if not hundreds of people during routine traffic stops. Victims were commonly pulled over for minor traffics violations and when they passed the breathalyzer she'd claim they failed field sobriety tests and arrest them on a DUI anyway. Charges might eventually get dropped or reduced but not before drivers paid bail, car impound or court-related fees that typically exceeded $1,000. As usual, no charges have been filed against Lisa Steed and she'll likely just get a slap on the wrist. If you're not entirely convinced she a power-abusing douche there's more via ABC News:

This is not Steed's first run-in with the law. In 2009, a police car dashcam recording caught her Tasering a man during a DUI stop after he refuses to get out of his car, saying he'd like to call a lawyer.

The man, Ryan Jones, can be heard calmly saying, "Ma'am, please don't shoot me with a Taser," before Steed zaps him and he beings to scream. When Jones was eventually tested, his blood alcohol level was a 0.03, well below the legal limit.
