Hubert Blackman did what many young men in Vegas inevitably find themselves doing, hiring a “stripper” to come to their hotel room. Afterward, Blackman was highly disappointed with the service. As a result, he sued the company that sent the escort, Las Vegas Exclusive Personals, for a refund of his $275 payment, and $1.8 million in damages for the mental stress he suffered during the “tragic event.” What did the lady do? Apparently all of the right things. After performing a lap dance and sex act, the escort left. Blackman, claiming she left a half-hour too early, called to demand his money back. But he also had another claim up his sleeve. Due to his level of intoxication, Blackman argued that he was too drunk to understand what he was doing and that he was unaware “prostitution was illegal in Vegas.” Unfortunately for Blackman, Sin City didn’t back down, and the college student returned home short $275 and forever known as the dickhead who tried to sue a prostitute — a detrimental sentence in Vegas.
